Star Wars - Episode 7: The Force Awakens (2015) - #Movie #Review

This one is a fun one!

Ok, so I am going to be honest and say that I was one of the handful of people who seems to have actually liked the prequel series... I mean Jar Jar Binks was incredibly irritating, but the rest of it... Well I thought it was pretty good...

But I have to admit that I have really been looking forward to finally getting in to the future of the Star Wars universe... and that is why I am glad to have seen, Star Wars - Episode 7: The Force Awakens (2015)!

A great movie, and a fantastic poster!

Written by: Lawrence Kasdan (Kin), Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3) & J.J. Abrams (Star Trek). Starring: Harrison Ford (Raiders Of The Lost Ark), Mark Hamill (Batman: The Animated Series), Carrie Fisher (Family Guy), Adam Driver (The Simpsons), Daisy Ridley (Lifesaver), John Boyega (Attack The Block) & Andy Serkis (Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes).

"This is the ship that made the Kessel Run in 14 par secs?" - Rey (Daisy Ridley: A quote from: Star Wars - Episode 8: The Force Awakens.)

Ok... So I am going to say it.... This movie is basically a decent movie... I mean the story is pretty alright (except for the fact that it is fairly un-original...) Ok, so what I mean by this is this... Ok... So basically this movie takes place about 20 years after, 'Return Of The Jedi'...

The Universe is now a very different place... The Empire is gone... Replaced by, 'The First Order'... And even though they aren't as big as the, 'Old Republic,' the, 'New Republic' is working on it...

During this time, Storm Troopers are basically no longer recruited, but born in to service, and then kept drugged up to keep them there! And instead of Darth Vader bringing fear to the Galaxy, it is, 'Kylo Ren' (Played by: Adam Driver)

Kylo Ren and his shrine to Darth Vader...

Now after a massacre on a world, one of the Storm Troopers gets out of their power and decides to escape... And with the help of a crafty girl who salvages stuff on a back water planet... And with the help of the people who helped end the reign of tyranny of the Emperor, will now work together to stop the next big plot from the Empire's successor!

Ok so plus points...

1. Awesome cast and getting to see the characters that made this series... Was awesome!

2. The special effects are amazing!

3. And for what it is, the story is alright.

Now for the main minus point... This movie is fairly unoriginal... It is like J.J. Abrams decided to take the best of the original series (which was basically everything,) and then threw a few little perks in there...

Don't let that discourage you though... It is a fun one that is worth checking out!

Quicksilver... The Weird Movie Situation - #Marvel #Comics #Movies

Quicksilver in both the Marvel and Fox worlds... Yeah I know...

Ok, so I have to say that when I was a kid, one of my favorite characters in the comics was Quicksilver... Well I am gonna say that he was probably in my top 5, I mean that guy can really run!

With that said, through out the years, I have found that I have enjoyed every iterations of him both in written form as well as in TV form, but when it came to the movie form for this character, Marvel and Fox did something that just pissed me off!

Now hey, I get it, when it comes to the seeming feud between Marvel and Fox, they do seem to be acting like a bunch of toddlers when one takes their, 'binki' away... I mean it is not like instead of this ridiculous feud they have going on, they could just work together! I mean it's cool, you guys want to destroy iconic franchises like, 'Fantasic Four' for your idiotic feud, I get it... But the whole Quicksilver thing... I mean come on, really?

This feud between Marvel & Fox... yeah I know... They are going to destroy some amazing franchises if they keep up with it!

Now what I mean by this is the fact Quicksilver appears in both Fox's MCU, and Marvel's MCU, both as different actors, etc... Way to destroy a character guys!

What I mean by this is that in X-Men: Days Of Future Past (2014) Quicksilver is played by: Evan Peters (The Lazarus Effect), and in Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015) Quicksilver is played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Godzilla), both apparently having appeared in the same movie, Kick-Ass (2010) and Marvel ends up killing Taylor-Johnson's version of the character!

All I am saying is that if these two production companies could kiss and make up, they could make a mutual MCU that would literally be epic!

For more information on these roles, please check out these clips from Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015) and X-Men: Days Of Future Past (2014):

Children Of Bodom: I Hurt (2015) - #Song #Review

A great song from a great album!

Alright metal heads, so, so far I am going to say that 2015 has been a great year for some hard core headbanging heavy metal music... Don't you?

I know that I haven't done much in the way of doing music from 2015 so far this year, but I will be doing more as time goes on, along, with all of the other great heavy metal, rock 'n roll and other similar type of great music you have come to expect me to review on this site!

Now the reason that I say this is because I just listened to a new track from Children Of Bodom's new album, 'I Hurt' that freaking rocks!

Children Of Bodom doing, 'I Hurt' liv!

Recorded at Danger Johnny Studios for Nuclear Blast Records, this bad ass album has some truly awesome instrumentals that I am going to say are on par with some of Rammstein's better heavier metal music, as well as some lyrics that just kept me interested in keeping the song going!

Now as far was what I am not a fan of for this song... Where as it is true that this song kept me interested... I felt like this album was more background music, then headbanging, and as for the song itself, I like having long background songs, and this one just was not long enough...

But it is one worth checking out, and a good introduction in to their new album, 'I Worship Chaos', so please enjoy this sample of the song.

Lyrics from Children Of Bodom's song, 'I Hurt' from their new album, 'I Worship Chaos':

'You run but I'm always a step ahead

I'm a stalker you embrace while dread

I'm not your lover
You're not my only one
I'm not your child but you made me
Your creation, your enemy
That one thing you'll regret forevermore

You can't destroy what I have become
Too little too late
Damage's done

From here on outs its torture while I laugh I laugh
And you will die

Cause and effect and then you die
There's more to pain than meets in eye
I'm deep inside you and you're mine
So take this to your mind

[chorus:]
I am dominant
Vile too malevolent
The more you suffer I hurt
I'll get under your skin
When you scream I hurt
Motherfucker I'm pain

I give you life then you take mine?
Don't forget you were the partner in crime
I might be your slave but you're not my God

You're neither inside my head nor fiction
My malady, my affliction

The cross I carry on my knees
Until you laugh and I will cry

Cause and effect and then you die
There's more to pain than meets in eye
I'm deep inside and you're mine
So take this to your twisted little mind

I surrender
Got no fight left in me to render
I wanna forget, you remember?
I gave you a go
The light's now green all you gotta do is kill me
But you keep me alive to reap what you sew
Just let me go
Let me go

Cause and effect and then you die
There's more to pain than meets in eye
I'm deep inside you and you're mine
So take this to your mind

[chorus:]
I am dominant
Vile too malevolent
The more you suffer I hurt
I'll get under your skin
When you scream I hurt
Motherfucker I'm the end

I am dominant
Vile too malevolent
The more you suffer I hurt
I'll get under your skin
When you scream I hurt
Motherfucker I'm pain

Empire & Allies (2015) - #Videogame #Review

A classic war game that is more then well worth it!

So I have been playing a lot of mobile phone games lately, and I have to admit that they are a total blast, and have come so far from their early days as mobile phone games!

Now I have been following mobile phone games since before the creation of the smart phone, and like video games for the home console as well as computer games and arcade games, they have seen a fascinating transformation from really bad graphics to just better and better, yet still being as much fun as they always were!

Now the reason I mention this is because there is another truly awesome mobile phone game that I thought that I would report here today that I think you guy might like called, 'Empires & Allies'!

Zynga has made a ton of great games... This one maybe the best!

Originally published as Zynga's first, 'combat game' on Facebook, this addicting game has you playing as a growing base that has as it's intention to not just take over the world, but also to attack other people's bases as well online!

Another thing that I really like about this game is the fact that when you launch some of your weapons that it shows a video that gives you an element of realism that you don't get from to many of these games!

The only thing that I really didn't like about this game though is the same problem that I have had with a fair number of other mobile phone games, and that is, when you run out of money in this game, you are forced to kind of stop playing!

In the end though, this game is a fun one and worth checking out!

#TV #Show Of The Half: The Flash!

As time has gone on, their has been a ton of truly magnificent horror and Science Fiction TV Shows that have come out, (some could say that there is a bit of a renaissance happening for the genres in general...)

But there is one show that I have to be honest and say has really hit the mark for me on every level this past half year, and that show is: The Flash!

A fantastic show that deserves to be the show of the half!

Besides the fact that the show is based on one of my favorite DC characters, I am going to say that the development in the individual characters on the show truly is amazing, and that the special effects are spectacular, and the wrapped up in the story lines will keep you on the edge of your seat! For more information, please enjoy this trailer for season 2!

Song Of The Half: Facade by: Disturbed!

A fantastic song!

We here at Hellinspace in conjunction with our other site, HellsDepot are introducing a new thing that we hope will give you guys even more opportunity to find some really cool Horror/Scifi entertainment to enjoy!

That being the item, 'of the half'! What does that mean... Well simply put, we have 6 categories in which we regularly write about, and so every month we are going to award a particular item from one of those categories that our staff have found that we really like, and that deserves special merit!

And for this month we thought that we would mention the song, 'Facade' from Disturbed's 2008 album: 'Indestructible'! Let's just put it this way... I can tell you why I like this song, but for more information why not just check out this song for yourself!

Empire Seige (2015) - Video Game Review

A surprisingly addictive game!

You know as time goes on I have to admit that I am becoming more and more impressed with the types of games that are coming out on the mobile phone... I mean Marvel's, 'Contest Of Champions' is absolutely an amazing good time, and even Grepolis is completely addictive!

Well recently I have been looking for a new game to add to my mobile phone... You know... For while I am waiting for something to occur... And I recently found one that maybe one of my personal favorite games... Not just on the phone, but in general!

That game being: Empire Seige (2015)!

Trust me... It may sound corny, but it is a total blast!

Released by: Elex, this awesome game has you playing as the leader of your own ancient city/state empire, and what you want to do is grow your city and grow your resources, and use some of both to go to war with computers, as well as real players in an attempt to destroy their cities, or defend your own city from them!

Now you might be wondering why this game is so addicting... Well you know how most of the truly great strategy games require that you wait forever to go from one turn to the next? Well this one has a pretty quick counter for each move you make, which makes long term play so much more cool!

Anyway, if you haven't tried this game yet, do so... I doubt you will regret it!

TV Show Of The Month: Wayward Pines

Wayward Pines may look ideal... But it is the only place to be for these people... Rather they like it or not!

So recently I have been digging in to the idea of awarding certain segments of what is promoted on this site what you might call, 'An employee of the month' category...

What I mean by this, is that each month I like to mention one segment, (a movie, a TV show, or even a video game,) etc... That has truly gone above and beyond the call...

And speaking of TV series... I thought that this month I would elect to put: 'Wayward Pines' as Hellinspace's, 'TV Show Of The Month!

Now this show may only be a mini-series that is coming to it's end, but this show is a scary portrayal of a man who gets stuck in what looks like the, 'idyllic' town... Only to find out that there is a lot more to the town then anyone could have expected!

For more information, check out this trailer for the show!

Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015) - Movie Review

Art from: Avengers: Age Of Ultron!

One thing that I have noticed as time has gone on, that it seems like most production houses generally tend to require that their sequels be bigger, more explosions, more A-list actors, etc... That is a huge mistake!

The reason being is, like the old saying goes... "Bigger is not always better"... And that saying is still true today! What I mean by this in relation to sequels, is that something is always lost in the story line!

Marvel seems to almost always do this for some reason... For example: Iron Man (2008) was a fantastic movie that really helped jump start the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe,) but, Iron Man 2 (2010)... There was bigger special effects, and a bigger cast... But something was lost in the story, and ended up making the movie suck... Fortunately they made up for that in a major way with, Iron Man 3 (2013)!

Iron Man 2... A dud, only made right by, 'Iron Man 3'!

And unfortunately a lot of that is the reason, Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015) was still fun... But not as good as the original Avengers was!

Written by: Joss Whedon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer), and Directed by: Joss Whedon. Starring: Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Scarlett Johansson (Lucy), Mark Ruffalo (Shutter Island), Jeremy Renner (Dahmer) & James Spader (Stargate).

"If he can wield the Hammer, he can keep the Stone." - Thor (Chris Hemsworth - A quote from: Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015).)

This movie tells the story of how a more formed Avengers team, having reformed up after the battle of New York from the first movie are setting high on their laurels... S.H.I.E.L.D. maybe mostly gone, and Nick Fury maybe retired, but under Tony Stark (Played by: Robert Downey Jr.), the team (being aided by a group of robotic, 'Iron Men') are really kicking butt!

The Avengers kicking Hydra's butt!

Well something interesting has happened... You see, after a grueling fight, in which the team had gone to war with Hydra, in an effort to reacquire Loki's scepter, Tony Stark (Played by: Robert Downey Jr.) and Bruce Banner/The Hulk (Played by: Mark Ruffalo,) are working on creating a new AI (when will they ever learn... Am I right?)

Anyway, this AI (which goes by the name of, 'Ultron' (Voiced by: James Spader)) ends up coming online and decides his programming in an effort to help the planet, is to eradicate mankind and start fresh!

So Ultron ends up taking over the Iron Men that Tony Stark had created, and as Ultron begins to build up his forces, it will be up to the Avengers to assemble again in an effort to save the world from a threat that one of their own created!

Ultron as he begins life as a broken, 'Iron Legion' unit!

In the end, the truth is, is this movie is fun... Despite the frustrating over indulgence in to the special effects and what not and some of the loss in story line/quality of story... This movie does have some amazing battle scenes, and fun story arcs...

The other problems that I had with this movie is the fact that Black Widow and Bruce Banner keep whining about there stupid romance, and it seems like almost threatening the audience to run away together at the end of the world!

The last thing that I have to say is that having Quicksilver (Played by: Anthony Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Played by: Elizabeth Olsen) in this movie is wrong, for many reasons that fans of the comics will understand... But as for the movies... Well... I mean Quicksilver is already a part of the X-Men franchise and is played by some one else in that series!

I guess what I am saying is that it is certainly worth watching, but is just not as good as the first one!

Marvel: Future Fight (2015) - Video Game Review

Not one of the more interesting Marvel video games...

I am sure that if you are like me, you are in to the whole (MCU: Marvel Cinematic Universe,) having found almost everything Marvel to fucking rule!

Now you got to understand that for me, it is rare when I find some piece of media that Marvel has created that I have taken a part of that I didn't truly freaking love! I have seen a large portion of the modern cartoons and movies as well as having enjoyed some of the pre-Iron Man 1 stuff as well as having read a ton of the comics also!

So when there is something that I don't like... I have to say that it is a little disappointing... But it hasn't been un-heard of...

And a great example of this is Marvel: Future Fight (2015)!

Black Widow and Iron Man are just two of the laundry list of Marvel heroes you can play as... They are also the easiest to become...

You see the game is a game that was developed by: Netmarble Games, and has you play as different characters from the Marvel Universe as you go through various levels in various stories... And each of these characters have the abilities that we have all grown up loving, and as you go through the level you get to grow your own team... Should be awesome right?

Well the truth is, is felt like the levels after awhile all kind of bled together... I found it dumb when you end up fighting a mirror character of the person that you are playing as... Also, unless you have money, getting new characters takes (FOR-FUCKING-EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Believe it or not... Iron Man & Black Widow are two of about 4 characters that the game allows you pretty easily to become...

But if you have the patience to go through all of this, then you might enjoy this game... And I will be honest and say that this game was fun... But in the end, it just got real dull for me pretty quick!

Lego To Bring, 'The Avengers' And 'Jurassic World' To The World Of Lego Video Games

The Avengers are about to be turned in to Lego form again for this falls Lego video game, 'Marvel's Avengers'!

Jurassic World (2015) & Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015)... If you haven't heard of them yet... Well let me set your mind at ease... Both movies are the highly anticipated sequels to some of Hollywood's biggest franchises (i,e. Jurassic World, is the latest sequel in the, 'Jurassic Park' series, and Avengers: 'Age Of Ultron', is the sequel to the blockbuster 2012 movie, 'The Avengers'!)

But we here at Hellinspace have come to discover something kind of interesting... It turns out that LEGO is planning on releasing both, 'Jurassic World', and, 'Marvel's Avengers' lego video games... later this year!

Jurassic World maybe coming to the big screen soon, but the LEGO video game version won't be far on it';s tail!

That's right folks, according to: Gamesradar.

Jurassic World will be a lego form video game that will allow the player to play in a lego version of, 'Jurassic World', as well as all of it's predecessor movies (also in lego form)!

As for, 'The Avengers' this game it looks like thus far will be a family friendly re-creation of the original movie in all of it's true awesomeness!

Jurassic World is set to be released on: PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo 3DS, and PS Vita, some time in June, and Marvel's Avenger is set for release some time this fall!

Kurt Cobain's Montage Of Heck

Kurt Cobain... A master of grunge rock in the 90s is being brought to prominence with a new documentary about the master!

Kurt Cobain... This guy... Man this guy in the early 90s, did for Grunge, what Elvis did for rock 'n roll nearly 40 years earlier... I mean you could say that in Kurt Cobain's short, yet prolific career, that he became the King of the grunge rock scene!

Now something of interest has come to light recently, and that is the documentary that Brett Morgen (Chicago 10) recently did about the life and times of the amazing talent, and the darker more unfortunate side of his life called: Kurt Cobain: Montage Of Heck (2015).

The poster for the movie: Kurt Cobain: Montage Of Heck (2015).

Another thing that appears to have come to light since Kurt Cobain's biopic has started playing the circuit at Sundance, is an interesting sound montage mix tape that he did in the late 80s!

Frankenstein Vs. The Mummy... Can I Get A, HELL YA!

The Universal monsters were the trailer blazers of the modern horror movie!

The Universal monsters... These creepy crawly monsters have always been evil, (or in the case of, 'Frankenstein'... 'misunderstood'...) But these monster have always been hell bent on mass destruction, ever since they burst out of the pages of the novels they came from, and on to the big screen!

That is why I have to admit that I was extremely disheartened when I discovered that, 'Universal' (the film studio that not only brought these monster out of the book, not only brought them to prominence, but made them the un-contested horror movie villain/monsters of all time,) are trying to bring these monsters back to the big screen, but... And, 'yes'... I am ashamed to say it, 'as heroes!'

I mean can you imagine? Well I was recently reading an article on: Fangoria, and it looks like not everyone is buying in to the classics becoming... 'Good Guys'!

The movie poster for: Frankenstein Vs. The Mummy (2015)!

What I mean by this is that the movie, Frankenstein Vs. The Mummy (2015) tells the story of: Dr. Victor Frankenstein and Egyptologist Naihla Khalil who are both professors at a medical university. Victor’s latest grisly ‘experiment’ is the reanimated corpse of a sadistic madman and Naihla’s most recent find is the cursed mummy of an evil pharaoh. When the two monsters face off in an epic showdown, no one is safe from the slaughter!

Sounds good yeah? Well enjoy this exclusive clip courtesy of: Fangoria!
