Child's Play 2 (1990) - #Movie #Review

Child's Play 2... A fantastic film!

Ok, so I am going to admit that most of the Child's Play franchise after part 3 really seems to have lost something... Because it seems like progressively that movie franchise seemed to get worse and worse! But hot damn if the movies from 3 till before weren't really freaking awesome! 

And why is that you ask? Well simply put, I think the whole concept of a dead killer trying to escape from the doll he had thought he was only going to be staying in temporarily is pretty freaking awesome! I also really do think that Alex Vincent (Child's Play), really did a magnificent job as, 'Andy' and then part 3... Well we will get in to that later! For this one, let's talk Child's Play 2 (1990)!

Written by: Don Mancini (Hannibal) & Directed by: John Lafia (10.5). Starring: Alex Vincent, Jenny Agutter (Logan's Run), Gerrit Graham (Cove Road), Christine Elise (Body Snatchers) and Grace Zabriske (The Grudge). 

This movie tells the story of how after the events of the first movie, Andy's mom has lost it and has been sent away, and Andy (Played by: Alex Vincent), has never been the same and has been sent to live with a foster family... But Alex's friend till the end is not quite finish with him! 

You see, the toy company that made the original, 'Good Guy' dolls decides to go ahead and remake, 'Chucky' from scratch... Is Chucky dead, or does Alex's friend to the end want to play one last game? 

It looks like Chucky is wants to play with his friend, 'to the end'! 

In the end, I have to say that this movie is my favorite of the series... I liked the story, the special effects were pretty freaking awesome, and most of the cast I think did a pretty amazing job, (except the foster parents... I have to be honest and say I was pretty indifferent to them dying... But the rest... Well I was rooting for the bad guys to die and the good guys to live!) 

If you haven't had a chance to check this one out yet, then, I do highly recommend it! 

RoboCop 2 (1990) - Movie Review

Alright, so there has been one general theme that seems to be true of most forms of action packed entertainment... That is the fact that when the studios are doing the sequel to a successful movie, the production usually calls for the movie to be bigger, with more explosions, bigger story lines, bigger A list actors, etc... etc...

There is only one problem with that... That being that most of the time these movies, for lack of a better reason generally tend to be worse then their original movie!

Now this is not always true, (although it is most the time,) a great example of a movie that I would say was on par with the original was the sequel that Rob Zombie did of the, 'Halloween' remake series... And another example that I would say is universally accepted as being better then the original movie, is: Star Trek 2: The Wraith Of Khan (1982)... And yet another example being: RoboCop 2 (1990):

One of those few movies that I would say is better then the original.

Alex 'RoboCop' Murphy as he is just starting to take down, 'Cain's' drug ring!

After the events of the first movie, Alex 'RoboCop' Murphy (Peter Weller) has been accepted in to his department as one of their own, and not just as a piece of equipment... He has even made a friend in his partner, 'Lewis' (Nancy Allen)! The only problem is that as his old memories of his life before being a Cyborg begin to surface... Murphy begins to spend time watching his old family...

And OCP... Well... They are up to their old hijinks of course! There next robotic monstrosity... A cop to replace Alex 'RoboCop' Murphy! And in the end, instead of looking at reviving a duty driven cop... They will find some one far worse!

In the end, it will be up to Murphy and Lewis to once again stop the latest OCP mistake, before that mistake destroys the rest of the city!

RoboCop VS... RoboCrook? 

In the end I am going to say that, RoboCop (1987) was a truly exceptional movie, the one thing that for me I kind of liked that was missing in the first movie was the one thing that most of the time sequels tend to get wrong... This one had bigger and better special effects, big talent... But the kicker for me was the fact that the odds against Murphy and Lewis were bigger, with them basically being alone against an even more dangerous OCP... I also have to say that the ending was pretty amazing!

In the end the first movie had everything going for it pretty excellently, but if you haven't seen the second one yet... You should, you might really like it!

Arnold Schwarzenegger... A Great Action Superstar... An AmazingHorror/Sci-fi Actor

The King of the big screen has had many layers to his storied career!

That's right folks, most people recognize Arnold for his amazing contributions to the world of the, 'Action Movie', and up til a few years ago as, 'The Governator' when he was the Governor of California... But besides all of that, there is another side to Arnold that I certainly believe is worth mentioning... That is his contributions to the world of Horror and Science Fiction!

Now most of you guys probably would recognize him in the field of Science Fiction for the work that he did in the, 'Terminator' franchise, as well as the work he did in the original, 'Total Recall' movie, and if I had to guess, I would go so far as to say that almost none of you would recognize him for his work in the world of horror!

But the truth is... Where as he may not have had much of a horror career, he has done one movie, which... Well it may not be the greatest, considering... It is alright, that being: End Of Days (1999), but he good news is that this side is growing, as it looks like Lionsgate has picked up the horror movie, 'Maggie' which is supposed to have Schwarzenegger in it, and which is supposed to be released later this year!

And as for Science Fiction... Well hell, we got the, 'Terminator' series, and Total Recall (1990), there are also some extremely awesome Sci-fi movies, such as: Last Action Hero (1993)!

Last Action Hero tells the story of a kid who loves movies so much, that when he gets a magic ticket, he ultimately ends up by mistake, not only jumping in to the world of his favorite Action hero, 'Jack Slater' (Played by: Schwarzenegger), but bringing that world back with him!

Now this movie I have never understood why is so undervalued, I mean this movie is a totally awesome fun time! I know, because I just saw it again recently (Don't worry, that review is coming...)

Fictional Character meet person who played you... A scene from, 'Last Action Hero'!

The next one that I thought that I would mention here is, The 6th Day (2000)...

Now I truly don't understand why this movie didn't get more play, I mean Arnold and the rest of the cast did a great job in it, and the story that touched on the controversy of, 'cloning', when a man ends up stumbling in to the world created for his, 'clone,' was just awesome, and hell, even the special effects were the right kind of awesome as well!

Now this last one I am going to say is maybe one of his better movies to have been released as an Action/Sci-fi movies... That movie being: Predator (1987)... Arnold did a great job in this movie, but the truth is, is that I really liked this movie because the story I felt like accurately depicted what it would be like for American forces to go up against an Alien force with vastly superior resources!

Predator... A true Schwarzenegger classic!

Anyway, there are other Schwarzenegger Sci-fi movies out there, I just thought that I would mention the Sci-fi movies as well as horror movie from above, because... Well... These are probably the best... (Well in the case of the horror movie, the only, for the time being...)

Psycho House (1990) - Robert Bloch - Book Review

When I was in boarding school I read, 'A LOT'... the truth is, there just wasn't a whole lot to do while I was there, but I got the chance to dive in to some really spectacular Stephen King novels, some amazing Star Trek (and Star Wars novels), as well as so many more!

But when I was there, there was one book that I had read that I had thought may have been a fan novel that had been published based on the movie series, 'Psycho' by Alfred Hitchcock (Rear Window)...

At the time I did not actually know that Hitchcock's movie had been based on Robert Bloch's novel... Etc...

Psycho House... A truly fun time!

Well I ended up not being able to put this novel down... I mean it was a truly awesome story of a writer that is prepping to write about Norman Bates 10 years after he had died, and during the time when his old Motel had been turned in to a local tourist attraction! While this is going down, the woman goes to visit the area, and when this occurs, murders start to occur in the area again... Is it something new? Or has the curse of Norman Bates come back to haunt his old home?

The sad thing was, was that for over a decade I had forgotten the title of this novel and have since have not been able to find it, but with a fascinating different direction that Robert Bloch took with this series... I have to say that it may be the third in the series, but it is more then worth a read if you get a chance!

Masters Of Horror: Clive Barker

Clive Barker... A true master of horror who created such legendary horror movies as, 'Hellraiser'!

Clive Barker... What can I say about the man that hasn't already been said? I mean as weird as this may sound, this master of horror, who was born in Liverpool England in 1952, could be said to be the, 'William Shatner' of horror.

What I mean by this, is that for the better part of a few decades actor/writer/musician, William Shatner (Star Trek: The Motion Picture) has been branding himself as a major player in the world of Science Fiction, what with having either been in or directed or even written, Star Trek novels/TV Shows & Movies, he has also done his own spoken word version of David Bowie's, 'Major Tom' (A song that could be said to be sort of, 'Sci-fiish'... He also wrote a series of Science Fiction novels called, 'Tek Wars', that were so good that they were turned in to a TV Show in the 90s! And that is just to name a few!

And you could say that Clive Barker has done very similar for the horror genre as well! I mean this guy created such amazing horror movie villains as, 'Pinhead' & 'Candyman' (Both are characters that started in stories that had been written by the master,) but that is just to name a few of the awesome villains that he has brought to the big and small screens!

Pinhead (Played by: Doug Bradley) & Candyman (Played by: Tony Todd)... Two horror movie legends that were originally created by: Clive Barker!

Besides those mentioned above, this epic filmmaker has helped bring to the world, such classic horror movies as, Rawhead Rex (1987)... A classic story about a pagan gods bloody rampage through out the Irish countryside (a movie that was also based on one of his stories...)

Another classic horror movie that Clive Barker did that was based on his written work was the movie, Nightbreed (1990)... Now this amazing movie told the story of an unstable man who is led to believe that he is some sort of serial killer, and ends up finding refuge in a hidden refuge where the monsters and the like have come to hide from humanity!

And the last one that I thought that I would mention here (although there is a ton more great movies that he has done that I found that are just great,) but this one is, Lord Of Illusion (1995)... This classic, which brought together an amazingly talented cast that included the likes of, 'Scott Bakula' (Enterprise), and, 'Famke Janssen' (X-Men)... This movie which tells the story of a New York Private Detective, who while on a case in LA ends up getting involved with a cult, and prophecy that is supposed to have foretold of a cruel cult leader's resurrection...

Now that is just a small cross section of his film/written works, but this amazingly talented artist is an acomplished visual artist, having illustrated some of his own novels... His artwork has also been displayed in galleries in the U.S. In places like, 'Los Angeles', 'New York' & even 'Chicago'!

Now the truth is, is I could go on and on about this guy, and his truly prolific work... But you get the point... I would say that as an over all artist, that this guy maybe one of the most prolific masters of horror of all time!

5 Great Sci-fi/Horror Movies That Were Turned In To 5 Video Games InThe 1990s

This Ghostbusters video game is just one example of a movie that was turned in to a great video game!

You know growing up in the 1990s one of things that I got to do is to see the effects of some of the biggest horror and science fiction movies that came out in the 1980s, and how they impacted the 1990s!

What do I mean by this? Well let's take, RoboCop (1987)...

At the time... Well this movie was truly awesome and still is! But it wasn't until the 1990s when the effects of this movie, and the impact that it would have on the industry in the whole would begin to be felt... I mean it really started growing, with the sequels to this movie coming out in the early 90s, and with the cartoon, 'RoboCop: Alpha Commando' coming out in 1999, and eventually more movies, culminating with the recent reboot of the series!

During this time we would see a growing rise in merchandising, and video games, such as: RoboCop Vs. Terminator (1993) and the like!

Well there are other such examples, and I thought that it would be fun to begin to examine some of these games:

At number 5: Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes (1991).

A classic B... Well... B whatever!

Now I will admit that with this one I never saw the movie (A situation that I intend to remedy), but I did see the cartoon that was based on the movie, and it was pretty awesome... Now I have never beaten this game, but I did play it a couple of different times back when it was first released for the Nintendo, and it is a fun one, worth at least trying if you are a fan of classic video games!

At number 4: Bram Stoker's Dracula (1993).

This game, which is based on the classic early 90s movie is considered to be one of the worst games ever made!

You might find it odd that I would add a game that sucked, but the truth is, is where as Bram Stoker's Dracula is is an amazing movie, I thought that I should add this game because... Well lets be honest, when doing a list people generally seem more interested in doing lists that they like... And this game was pretty deplorable... If you find it, do like Van Helsing and burn the wicked game!

At number 2: Darkman: The Video Game (1991).

An interesting one...

Now this one is sort of a mixed bag... The movie was freaking amazing! I only saw part of one of the sequels... And well it was alright... But as far as the video game goes, I only got to play it once, and it was alright... When you were actually playing the game... Well it was pretty fun, but, and I don't know if it was just the copy of the game that I was playing or what ever, but the truth is, is the music and sound fx sucked!

At number 1: Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (1990).

Michael Jackson is the lead character in this classic early 90s Genesis game! 

This one is sort of different... What I mean by this is that this movie may now have been Science Fiction or Horror, but the truth is, is the movie was truly amazing, and the video game , (which does have elements of science fiction in it), is truly awesome, and if you haven't tried it yet... Do so... Both rock!

Mega Man 3 (1990) - Video Game Review

You know it is sad to see some of these truly amazing video game franchises, that in a lot of ways could be said to have helped make the video game industry what it is today, go the way that it has gone... What do I mean by this...

Well lets take, 'Contra'...  This video game franchise which got it's start in 1987 was an amazing action packed video game, that I do truly believe helped to keep the, 'NES' going as one of the more popular video game systems of it's time... The last time a, 'Contra' game was made, it didn't even have the legendary name in it (the last one was, 'Hard Corps: Uprising' that came out in 2011.)

Another unfortunate example of this is the, 'Mega Man' series, which seems to have all but disappeared, but this series, for me personally was not only a video game series that helped keep me interested in Science Fiction in general, but the original video game itself helped keep me interested in video games themselves!

Unfortunately, 'Mega Man 3' (1990) was not that for me, but it does come from a great series!

Developed & Published by: Capcom for the NES, this game (which would be one of the last to be made for the, 'NES') told the story of how supposedly Dr. Wily has  finally come to terms with his errors and ends up going back to work with Dr. Light, but when things start to go awry, and Dr. Wily decides to go evil again, Mega Man and his new dog, 'Rush' jump in to action to foil Dr. Wily's evil plot!

In the end, the music for this game is good, the characters on this game are also good, and some people say that this game is, 'hard' to play... (The best games usually are...) The main problem with this game for me was the fact that the truest sign of a great game is in how often you would want to play it... And the truth is, is this game just doesn't have the same staying power that it's predecessors have!

In the end, it is not bad, it is just not great, and I hate to say it, but if you give it a try, you might find the same thing as well!

The Many Faces Of, 'Leatherface' And The Men Who Played Him

Believe it or not, with the exception of Freddy Krueger (who has uptil the recent remake has been played by: Robert Englund), and Norman Bates, (who til it's remake had always been played by: Anthony Perklins,) most long standing horror movie villains have been played by several different actors.

A good example of this is, 'Kane Hodder' (Hatchet)... Now Kane Hodder had up until recently been kind of universally recognized as the actor who played, 'Jason Voorhees' in the, 'Friday The 13th' movies... The only thing is, is that he didn't start playing the role till around part 7, and there were at least a couple of actors who played the role before him, and played them after him!

Well I got to thinking that you guys might enjoy a look back at the many looks of ,'Leatherface' over the years, (another role that has been played by many actors,) and the actors that played him!

In the end, this series is pretty awesome, and if you are like me, then you are really looking forward to what comes next!

5 Uncommon Killer Weapons In Horror Movies

You know we all know the standard tools that killers use in horror movies, I mean Jason has his Machete, Freddy has his glove, and even Michael Myers has his kitchen knife... So I thought that I would mention, '5 Uncommon Killer Weapons In Horror Movies'....
Now before I go on, I will say that each one of these have been in more then 1 horror movie, but tend to be seen in less horror movies then you might think!

With that in mind, lets get stared...

At number 5: Garden Shears.

Now this one I have found in my travels to be a little more common, but still this one is quite cool, from it's use by, 'Fake Jason' in Friday The 13th: A New Beginning (1985), to gouge out horny teens eyes, to it being Cropsey's weapon of choice in, The Burning (1982), this item has been one of the more unusual choices for weaponry in horror movies, but it definitely has it's place in the annals of horror movie history!

At number 4: A Drill.

This one is fairly common in the one time kill category, but I thought that I would mention this one because, the drill was made famous as the popular way that the, 'Driller Killer' used to kill people in the, 'Slumber Party Massacre' series, and real briefly in the, 'Sorority House Massacre' series, (both by the way are awesome slasher film series that were produced by Roger Corman!)

At number 3: A Ruler.

This one is real rare... I mean I have personally only seen this once, and that was in Child's Play 2 (1990), when Chucky beats Andy's school teacher to death with it after Andy leaves!

At number 2: A Corn Row.

You don't see that to often, but it is kind of a unique way to kill people that was first popularized in the, 'Children Of The Corn' movie series, and remains one of the reasons in my opinion that the, 'Children Of the Corn' series is still one of the better supernatural movie series of all time!

At number 1: Ice Cream Cone.

This one is one of the more interesting ones, you see, this one was popularized by the brief but popular 90s horror movie series, 'The Ice Cream Man' and is still one of the most unique ways to kill people in a horror movie that I have seen to date!

In the end, in the history of the horror film, there has been quite a few ways killers have killed people in these films, but these are definitely some of the more unique ways I have seen of it being done, and definitely helped set the tone for the series that they would eventually produce!

Four Past Midnight (1990) - Stephen King - Book Review

When I was younger, an author that my Dad seemed to enjoy was the author, 'Stephen King'... And so when I was a kid, we used to some times enjoy the movies that were based on his novels... And as I began to be interested in Stephen King's novels, he gave me his Stephen King novels.

Well one of the novels that he gave me was the novel, 'Four Past Midnight'... This novels was actually a collection of novellas that I found to be a total blast... As a matter of fact, not only have I seen the movie adaptions that have been made based on these novels, but I actually own them!

Now as for the novels themselves... They are freaking amazing! I mean the first one that I thought that I would mention here of the novellas is the story: The Langoliers:

Stephen King weaves an amazing tale of a group who while on a flight to the East Coast go to sleep, when they wake up, they come to discover that short of those who had fallen asleep, that everyone else on the plane has vanished... Well when they finally decide to start investigating what has happened, they end up landing only to discover that not only is there no one on the ground, but that there is something wrong with the world... i,e... 'The Beer is flat, but becomes carbonated on the Plane', along with other bizarre occurrences... But there is something more...

You see, a blind girl who has some psychic ability, ends up letting the remaining humans on the planet know that there is something coming after them... It's not there... But it will be soon...

So the survivors will end up having to figure out what is going on, and how to escape the coming threat, before their guests arrive!
Now this movie ended up being turned in to a truly awesome TV/Miniseries back in 1995... (Not quite as good as the novella, but still good.)

The next one that I wanted to talk about is the Novella, 'Secret Window Secret Garden'.

Now this story I have to admit was a personal favorite of this book (and the movie, which stars: Johnny Depp (A Nightmare On Elm Street), I found to be so good, that it is one of a few examples of the written word being adapted to the big screen that was so good that it was almost as good as the story for which it was based off of!

But anyway, this novella tells the story of a famous writer whom after he discovers his wife cheating on him, ends up having a mental break down... Months after this experience, his mental break down will turn in to something a lot worse when he starts fantasizing about his wife and her new boyfriend becoming permanent residents of the, 'Secret Garden.'

This next one, 'The Library Policeman'...

I have this addition to the series was pretty unremarkable, but told the story of a malevolent entity that feeds on fear and is the embodiment of an evil woman who had died in the 1960s. This entity ends up going after Sam Peebles, a man who had some problems at a library years earlier...

In the end... You can't always have winners... for me I found this one to be pretty bland, and not have the same flare and awesomeness that has made a lot of King's novels real amazing!

This next one, 'The Sun Dog'...

Now this novella was fun... I think this one should have been expanded upon and turned in to a novel, but the truth is, is it wasn't a bad one and worth it... You see this novella told the story of a boy who gets a sort of paranormal, 'camera' in which the only picture that it takes of, is a sort of, 'Monster Dog'... And as weird stuff begins, it looks like there might be something a little more to this camera then meets the eye... And this kid is going to have to figure it out, before the Monster in the picture becomes real!

In the end, this series of Novellas is well worth a read, it took me a few days to read this novel... And I will be honest and say that I am glad that I did!

5 Classic Horror Shows That Were Canceled To Early

In the world of TV, just as in the world of movies, they tend to gravitate more toward Drama/Comedy/Chick Flick style movies or TV shows, a great example of this is the fact that, 'Beverly Hills 90210' a great teen drama that lasted for about a decade was on longer than, 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine'...

Now don't get me wrong, both are great shows in their own right, and in all truth and fairness, most of the bigger named Science Fiction or Horror TV Programs out there do tend to last at least 5 seasons (a pretty good run considering that most of the time these shows that go on for at least 5 seasons get at least a 100 hundred episode run if not more.)

In this case I suppose more what I am talking about is those shows that didn't make it very far but should have!  Like do you remember the show, 'Cult'? Didn't last very long, but a fun show about a TV Program and how it, and it's creator influences a group of obsessed devotee's  that are looking for something specific from the past? Of course not! I mean the  show lasted less then a regular season... And you know what? That show is a show that aired earlier this year!

But I digress and apologize, I didn't mean to rant, all I meant to say is that I thought I would do this list to remind fans of some classic horror TV that was canceled well before it's time!

And for number 5: Point Pleasant (2005 - 2006)

This awesome TV series tells the story of how after a mysterious teenage girl ends up arriving in, 'Point Pleasant', a small coastal town in New Jersey, where she is taken in by an unassuming family, but the longer she stays in this town, the more she finds out the truth about herself, and who her dark mysterious father really is!

Now this show was freaking awesome, and one could almost say is a new take on, 'The Omen', but was canceled way to early and replaced with a show that didn't make it either!

For number 4: Freddy's Nightmares (1988 - 1990).

This one is an interesting one, you see this show is loosely based on Wes Craven's, 'A Nightmare On Elm Street' movie series, which was mocked up sort of similar to the old, 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents' anthology show, in which Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) would come on and introduce the stories for the show...

I will admit that I have not seen to many episodes of this series (it doesn't air a lot on TV and I have as of yet been able to find it on Netflix, but the few episodes I have seen are a lot of fun, and it is just a shame that this show did not last beyond it's 2 season run!

At number 3: Night Stalker (2005):

Now here is another truly awesome series that had a strong backing (considering that this is a remake of the classic tv series, 'Kolchack: The Night Stalker' but did not end up lasting to long!

You see this show which also had a great cast, including: Stuart Townsend (Queen Of The Damned) as: Carl Kolchak, an investigative reporter whom after his wife dies, ends up investigating her murder through the strange murders of other people that he believes whose deaths are linked to the murder of his wife! Helping him on this is, Gabrielle Union (Bring It On) who plays, 'Perri Reed' another investigative reporter, as well as a few other from their newspaper!

At number 2: Millennium (1996 - 1999)

Admittedly this show has lasted longer then all of the other ones that I have mentioned above... But the reason that I decided to add this series in here is because this show was so abused and mistreated when it was having it's run that every time it was just about to hit the marks and really become something truly amazing, the shows producers seemingly felt like they would have to knock it back down!

What I mean by this, is that this show which took the lead character, who was a retired FBI Agent with seeming special insight in to the mind of a killer, and how initially he worked for a group of seeming retired investigators that consulted on crimes, but seemed to have a greater agenda that in the end, the lead character tried to stop, and destroy the organization got off to a great and creepy fun start in season 1, as a matter of fact I would say that season 1 is probably one of the more memorable seasons of strictly horror TV show to be released in the late 1990s!

But then comes season 2... I won't bore you with the details except to say that it sucked! But then comes season 3... Admittedly that season took a little bit to completely get the show back on track, and just when season 3 was just starting to get really good, and had a strong potential to make the show really something, they ended the series with an episode that really sucked!

In the end, the only saving grace for this series was the crossover that had Lance Henriksen (Aliens) and Brittany Tiplady (The Pledge) who played his daughter, guest star on an episode of, 'The X-Files'

And finally at number 1: Brimstone (1998 - 1999).

I am going to be honest with you guys and say that where as all of the shows that I mentioned above were awesome, this show for me was truly spectacular that watched and re-watched a few times when the show first aired and when it went on sporadic re-runs!

This amazing show which starred: Peter Horton (Children Of The Corn) John Glover (RoboCop 2), and Lori Petty (Point Break) and which told the story of how after killing the man who raped his wife and then getting murdered himself, a Detective (Horton) is given a second chance by the Devil (John Glover) is given a second chance at redemption when he is asked to rescue a group of damned souls who have figured out a way to escape from Hell!

In the end, this is one of those few shows that I am still bummed out that it got canceled after only 1 season!

Jurassic Park (1990) - Michael Crichton - Book Review

Jurassic Park... Man I still remember  being a kid and going to see that movie on the big screen and just being totally spellbound by this truly spectacular movie... I mean besides the fact that this movie had some truly groundbreaking special effects, and talent that I still think can rival most if not beat out most modern day talent, this movie also had an incredible story that kept me and all of my friends just completely enchanted!

But you know what? I hate to say it... But like most great movies based on the book, this book was assuredly better then the movie... But just barely!

You see the book's story line is essentially the same as the movie, after some strange incidents that happened off the coast of Costa Rica, a group of people are hired by, 'John Hammond' (a filthy rich, yet some what eccentric and old billionaire, 'theme park' tycoon who has decided to build the ultimate theme park... One that gives the person going to the theme park a once in a life time chance to see a real life Dinosaur face to face!

And at first everything seems to be going alright, but of course that is until one of the people who works at Jurassic Park shuts down the park temporarily... (A little bit of espionage for a well rounded weekend...) The only problem is, is that these consultants will start to have issues with giving them a good grade when they are fleeing for their lives from the main attraction!

Now you know I mentioned that the book was better then the movie... well just barely... I don't want to give away to much but the book has more suspense to it, more thrills, more chills, and it was for me, and you may find the same thing,  that this book was a hard one to put down!

So, if you get a chance, check it out, I think that you might find that you might like it... I mean hell, if you liked the movie then I suspect that you might love the book as well!
