Why The MCU Will Always Be Better Than The DCCU! - #Movie #ComicBook #Blog

A great universe... So why is DC trying to fuck up the TV and movie series?
Ok, so we all know about the brilliance of the, 'MCU'... I mean it is awesome! Watching, 'The Avengers'... Or even, 'Agent Carter'... And I don't know if you have noticed yet, but it seems like DC is trying to follow suite... A good time to do so with the MCU about to make some massive changes... But the way they are doing it... I mean come on!

Now let me explain... So the movies that are being done by DC, are fantastic! The TV shows they are doing are even better, but when you consider the whole, 'DCU' they both suck!

What I mean by this is the abusive way that the morons at DC are seriously fucking up the characters!

Now here is what I mean by this:

1. Ok... So I am certain that if you are a, 'Flash' fan, that Grant Gustin ('The Flash' on the CW show,) is absolutely brilliant as the Speedster! But for some dumb ass reason, the casting executives at DC decided to cast some one else as the Speedster for the upcoming, 'The Justice League' movie!

Grant Gustin is, 'The Flash'... So why is DC trying to fuck that up?
2. With that said, with out Grant Gustin as, 'The Flash'... And don't get me wrong, They are going to have some one else in the role... But in this case from what I have heard, they are having Stephen Amell in his role as, 'Green Arrow' in the new Justice League movie

Ok, so for some reason it looks like, 'Stephen Amell' is going to be in the new justice league movie, but not, 'The Flash'... Trust me... That doesn't make sense!
3. And now we go in to the various TV series... Both Batman and Superman are mentioned in all of the TV series... And we are going to take this bit by bit... Let's start off with: Supergirl.

Supergirl is an amazing series, but it does almost seem like this show is the crux of where they are trying to fuck the DCU up!
Now Supergirl is an absolutely brilliant show... The problem is, is that where as it is true that  Henry Cavill (Man Of Steel) has never shown up for a guest spot in the series... But Henry Cavill's out line can definitely be seen a couple of times... But how can that be? I mean Grant Gustin is supposed to be guest starring on Supergirl soon... And he is being replaced by another actor for the movies... And then there is Jon Jonzz... A character who's actor in the TV series supposedly being replaced for, 'The Justice League'!

4. And then there are the crossovers between, 'Arrow' and, 'The Flash'... Without Grant Gustin in the upcoming movies... Then the crossovers become ridiculous!
This guy is supposedly going to be looking very different in the big screen!
Ultimately, the reason why the MCU will always be better then the DCU is the convoluted nature of how DC seems to be almost trying to fuck up their franchises! And the MCU's continuity is absolutely awesome!

Detective Comics #27 (1939) - #Comic #Book #Review

This is the first comic to feature, 'Batman'!

Batman... I mean this character is iconic on the same level as Superman, The Avengers, as well as so many more of the comic books that we grew up enjoying, as well as the movies we still currently love!

I mean rather it is Michael Keaton (Beetlejuice), Val Kilmer (Top Gun) or even Christian Bale (American Psycho) portraying the, 'Batman', this hero has managed to continue to keep audiences not just entertained, but on the edge of their seats as Batman and his side kicks over the years have taken out such awesome villains as, 'Joker', or, 'The Penguin', etc...

Ba
Christian Bale as, 'The Dark Knight' fighting Heath Ledger as, 'The Joker'!

With that said, if you are like me, the movie maybe amazing, but you always have to go back to the source... I mean I have seen just about everything from, 'The Avengers', and freaking love all of them! But getting to read the first, 'Avengers' comic was just truly awesome! And the same goes for basically all of the rest of the original first issues that I have read!

And that is part of the reason why I am glad that I have read, 'Detective Comics #27'... A.K.A. 'The first appearance of, 'The Batman'!

The first adventures of, 'The Batman'!

That's right folks, before being called just, 'Batman', or, 'The Dark Knight', Bruce Wayne is still a billionaire who lost his family tragically, but in this case his name is, 'The Batman'...

And in this first adventure of, 'The Batman', his adventure maybe a little bit more simplistic... You see, our hero has tasked himself with uncovering the murderer of a business man, and the conspiracy that surrounds it!

I will say that I now understand the wacky costumes that, 'The Batman' some times wears through out the decades...

With that said, I will say that I did enjoy this comic, but if you are looking for one of the more involved comics that the more modern Batman comics generally tend to be... Well then you may not like this comic... but if you want to see where Batman first came from... Then this is definitely one to enjoy!

Batman Vs. Darth Vader... A Battle Royale We All Want To See!

The battle we have been waiting for!
So crossovers, no matter what the genre for decades have been something that has been really popular for decades... Rather you want to see the crew of the, 'U.S.S. Enterprise' teaming up with the, 'X-Men', or if you want to see Ash fight just about every big bad movie villain to have come out in the last 30 years!  Fans have wanted it... And mostly in written form they have gotten it!
Well a few months ago I was looking around at videos on youtube and I found a video of the evil, 'Galactic Empire's', 'Dark Lord Of The Sith', 'Darth Vader,' fighting Gotham's own, 'Dark Knight', 'Batman'... And it wasn't some weird mashup, or some one with no budget trying to have some fun...

This particular video is a total blast, and although it is definitely indie, you could tell that some serious thought, and some serious capital went in to making this the best that it could be, so check it out!

Injustice: Gods Among Us (2013) - Video Game Review

Official Score = 3 Devils
Official Score = 3 Devils
Now I know that in both the Marvel & DC Universes, that  the concept of parallel has at least to some extent kind of become a standard bearer for some of the story lines, as a matter of fact, I have discovered that sometimes there are universe crossovers... As a matter of fact, there was a crossover that I saw in an episode of one of the Justice League cartoons that was extremely fun!

But for me, with a few exceptions, I have only recently begun diving in tot he world of the, 'Parallel Comic Book Crossover', but I have to say that I have found that I really like it!

A great example of this in video game format is: Injustice: Gods Among Us (2013)!

The box cover art for: Injustice: Gods Among Us.
Published by: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the: Playstation 3, Wii U, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4, Playstation Vita, iOS & Android, Injustice: Gods Among Us, tells the story of how:

In an alternate reality, the Joker destroys Metropolis with a nuclear weapon, killing millions of people, after tricking Superman into killing Lois Lane and their unborn son.  Because of this, Superman looses it, and along with the former, 'Justice League', forms a new repressive world order...

After being transported over to this world, members of the Justice League will have to fight to stop the Deadly Superman and the new world order that he has imposed, before the deadly Superman can essentially conquer everything!

Cyborg Vs. Wonder Woman... I mean how cool is that!
Now this game is done in a fun competitive fighting style, so you could end up fighting as one character, and fighting the alternate universe counterpart... Also, beside the story mode, you can actual play in the more standard competitive mode as well...

I am going to say that the graphics for this game are also a lot of fun, as well as the effects... The one thing that I did like, but also didn't, was the fact that there were far to many videos... Well made, but it cut in to my playing time, and frankly, after awhile it kind of got on my nerves!

4 Awesome Crossover Fighting Games

One thing that became popular back in the 1990s was the use of crossover games, rather they be crossovers between 2 competitive fighting games or cross overs between a competitive fighting game, and another game or a competitive fighting game between 2 other games that initially not a fighting games at all.

With that said, I thought that you guys might enjoy these awesome cross over fighting games!

At number 4: Street Fighter X Mega Man (2012):

Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe (2008) - Video Game Review

[caption id="attachment_330" align="alignright" width="220"]Official Score = 2 1/2 Devils Official Score = 2 1/2 Devils[/caption]

Being a gamer from way back I have come to truly see the harmony in the diversity of popularity in games over the decades... Yeah I said it, but I am not talking about some sort of strange metaphysical, 'can listen to the Earth's song type of thing'...

No, what I am talking about more directly has to do with having seen one generation of popular game turn in to the next... A great example of this is that when I first started  playing video games, the style that everyone seemed to shoot for was RPG/2D shooter games... And going in to the 90s,  it was competitive fighting video games and RPGs... ( I have to admit that I kind of lost some time in between finishing High School. and starting Hellinspace,) but since starting Hellinspace, it has become primarily first person shooter games.

So it was with some delight when I discovered the cross over game, 'Mortal Kombat Vs. The DC Universe' (2008)!

Published by: Midway Games, this awesome cross over game had characters such as: 'Superman', 'Batman', 'Green Lantern', 'Wonder Woman' and a bunch of other superheroes and villains from the DC Comic universe, as they battle against the likes of the classic video game characters: 'Scorpion', 'Sub-Zero', 'Kano' and a ton of other great characters from the classic video game series, 'Mortal Kombat'!

[caption id="attachment_2729" align="aligncenter" width="450"]'Superman' as he is taking down, 'Raiden'! 'Superman' as he is taking down, 'Raiden'![/caption]

Now this game was developed for the XBox 360 as well as the Playstation 3... Unfortunately though, I haven't played the Playstation 3 version of this game yet, but I can tell you this about the XBox 360 version of this game... It has great graphics... Fun music... And well if you were a fan of both of these individual franchises before playing this game, then I think you will find it a lot of fun to play this as a cross over or just fighting one set of characters or the other!

The main problems with the, 'XBox 360' version of this game is that the controls are hard to learn, the fatalities are almost impossible to do, and after you beat it a few times, the game starts to get a little dull!

In the end though, the game was worth a once over, so give it a chance, it may not be the best game in the world, but it does have it's moments!
