Five Reasons To Continue To Try New Music - #Music #Blog

Metallica's, 'Cunning Stunts' concert, a great album to really introduce you to this epic band!
Ok, so first off, I have to say that I to say that until I started this site, I found myself being very set in the type of music that I was listening to... (I know I made it seem like I listened to a ton of different types of music back in the day... And periodically over the years I actually have!)

But since starting this site I have come to realize that there is so much more music in the world to enjoy!

And so I thought that I would give you guys my five reasons to continue to try new music...

At number 5: Being a metal head is cool, but it is not all that is there!
Being a metal head rocks, but that is not all she wrote!
Don't hate me, but it is true! Besides the obvious, (stuff like Rock 'N Roll,) there are various sub-genres of these types of music, as well as the ancestry of these two very similar genre's to enjoy!

4: And speaking of historical ancestry...
Believe it or not, Elvis Presley's music is a great example of the ancestry of both, 'Heavy Metal' and other forms of modern, 'Rock'!
It is true that all music comes from some where, and rock music, as well as heavy metal music has a rich history of great rock 'n roll/jazz music to enjoy! Stuff like, 'Elvis Presley', etc... And if you close yourself to this bright and beautiful tapestry of music, you will lose out on some of the truly great music!

At number 3: New stuff!
Deadmau5 may not have been around as long as say, 'Metallica', but there brand of techno rocks!
Now I have to admit that I have been accused of this in this past, but there is a ton of great new music, some that is great head banging music, and some that will keep you excited... And where as those bands you love should stay like that. If you decide though to ignore the new stuff that comes out... You will miss some great stuff!

At number 2: Some new and inventive stuff done by bands.
Metallica's S&M concert was a brilliant, inventive concert!
In the late 1990s, Metallica did a concert with the San Francisco Symphony orchestra, this for the time was pretty inventive and different, and people (myself included,) found that the recorded album is truly awesome! Since then, there have been a ton of other great albums that have done this... Stuff that if you close yourself off to this type of stuff... Well you may end up screwing yourself out of some great music!

At number 1: Closing yourself off is just stupid!
Can he see you?
There, I said it, enjoy the bands that you enjoy, but keep yourself open to new music, you would be pretty stupid not to! There is just to much great music out there not to keep yourself open!

Battle Beast: Madness (2015) - Song Review

Official Score = 3 Devils
Official Score = 3 Devils
One of the things that I really like about doing this site is that I enjoy finding a new movie, or writer, or even band to bring to prominence on the site... Some one that is a recent discovery... And especially some one, or something that turns out to really be awesome.

And that is at least part of the reason why I was glad to discover, Battle Beasts song, 'Madness' (2015), from their 2015 album, 'Unholy Savior'!

A scene from the official music video for Battle Beasts, 'Madness'!
Now like I said above, I don't really know much about these people, but I will say this, I truly enjoyed the song, 'Madness'... Part of the reason why I like this song is the fact that it was kind of done in what I imagine, 'No Doubt' would have done it, if they had been more heavy metal... And I have to say that I do like it!

The next thing that I wanted to say, is that I have not heard to much in the way of heavy metal music from a female vocalist... (Not intentional, I just haven't really known to many that have been involved in heavy metal...) And I have to say that I do like it... Ultimately though, everyone in the band itself just arranged an absolutely brilliant song!

Noora and the rest of Battle Beast doing, 'Madness'!
The last thing that I did want to say about this song is this, if this song is any indication of what the rest of the band is capable of, then I will say that they are almost certainly going to be a true blast to review!

Anyway, check it out, I think you might find that you like it... And for the fans, the lyrics to: Madness by: Battle Beast.

My name is Madness
And I will hunt you down in darkness
You can't escape from me
'Cause i'm Madness
The demon slayer in your head
I'm always there
(Solo)
No one can hear you scream
No one will find you
There's no way out of here alive
My name is Madness
And I'm the light you need in darkness
You can't escape from me
'Cause i'm Madness
And I will tear your soul apart
We die as one
My name is Madness
And I will hunt you down in darkness
You can't escape from me
'Cause i'm Madness
The demon slayer in your head
I'm always there
Until the end

Pantera: Cemetary Gates (1990) - Song Review

[caption id="attachment_325" align="alignright" width="263"]Official Score = 3 Devils Official Score = 3 Devils[/caption]

Believe it or not, there are generally very few heavy metal or other form of rock & roll bands that I haven't heard these days that have made some sort of impact... The only problem is, is that there are some that I haven't heard a lot of... And you know what? If you are as big a fan as I am, of these types of songs, then it is a shame!

The reason that I mention this is that Pantera just happens to be one of that group that I was never really able to give the time that was really necessary to...

Well the truth is, is they are not a bad group, and as a matter of fact, Pantera's, 'Cemetery Gates', a single that was released in 1990, and then re-released in 1995 as the first song on the horror movie sound track for, Tales From The Crypt Presents: Demon Knight (1995), as well as being used as a cover song that was done by some amazing musicians, including: Russell Allen (singer for, Symphony X), Burton C. Bell (from, 'Fear Factory'), and Dave Mustaine (From Megadeth  for part of a tribute to Pantera guitarist, 'Dimebag Darrell' after he passed away!

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="500"] Dimebag Darrell posthumously helped keep Pantera's, 'Cemetary Gates' alive![/caption]

This song also was used as cover songs for such albums as, 'The Anatomy Of,' from, Between the Buried and Me... Evile also did a cover of this song for Metal Hammer's tribute album for Dimebag Darrell, as well as for their re-issued album, 'Infectious Nations', as well as others...

But you know what? I realized that I haven't mentioned why I thought this song was good... Well the truth is, is that I should probably give this song a better grade... I suspect that I maybe being hard on this song... The truth is, is this song is fun it has song is freakin awesome! It was well made, it had some killer instrumentals, that I think would both excite and enthrall the truth fan (I know it did with me,) and I am pretty certain it would scare the hell out of just about anybody who would listen to the likes of, 'Backstreet Boys', 'Brittany Spears' or whatever other weirdo teeny boppers band is out there today!

And on another note, if you are a fan of Heavy Metal, and haven't heard these legends yet, then I would highly recommend checking out this song first, it is pretty bad ass and a great way to learn about this awesome band!
