On August 1st 1981, MTV saw it's first day on the air, ever since then it has helped further along the careers of some of the greatest musicians of the 1980s on up to even the present (and some could say that they were responsible for giving birth to what would eventually come to be known as the, 'Reality TV craze' with such shows as, 'Road Rules' and, 'The Real World'.)
