Five Characters From Angel That Didn't Make It To The Bitter End

Buffy The Vampire Slayer... Now this show was truly amazing... In a small way you could say that Buffy did to the world of horror on the small screen, what Star Trek did for Science Fiction on the small screen... Just on a significantly smaller level!

What I mean by this is that where as Star Trek has kept audiences entertained now for a couple of generations, it does appear that Buffy has only done so for one...

Never the less, this show was truly awesome, and spawned a spinoff that I would say may actually be even better then the original, 'Angel'...

With that said, I thought that you guys would enjoy a fond reminder of 5 characters that did not make it to the bitter end...

At number 5: Lilah Morgan (Stephanie Romanov)...

Lilah Morgan with the senior partners at, 'Evil Inc...'
Now this character... She was a lot of fun, she was everything that a high powered lawyer can be, she was smart, she was sexy, and when it came to Angel and his crew, she was ready to take them down... And not in the court room! But when she died during Jasmine's reign of terror... Her own brand of wicked evil was sorely missed... That was until she offered the Angel crew a job working at the Los Angeles branch of, 'Evil Inc.'!

At number 4: Winnifred 'Fred' Burkle (Amy Acker)...

Winnifred 'Fred' Burkle (Amy Acker) with Gunn (J. August Richards), Fred was a character that was sorely missed at the end of the series!
Don't get me wrong, I did like the whole thing when Fred turned in to, 'Ilyria', I mean she definitely kicked some ass as in that role... But the Angel crew already had that, and the truth is, is that I found that I personally missed, 'Fred'... I mean when Cordy left the series, in a lot of respects, 'Fred' kind of became the heart of the group... And with out that, I found that things were lacking... And I think with her there to the end, the ending of the series would have been that much better!

At number 3: Connor (Vincent Kartheiser)...

Vincent Kartheiser's role of, 'Connor' never got the chance that it should have!
The truth is, is that he was there at the end of the series, but not...What I mean by that is that the show brought Vincent Kartheiser in at the end of the series to do a little fighting and then disappear... The problem is, is I felt like the show really did not give Connor the time he deserved, and in all honesty I kind of felt like he should have been there at the bitter end... Which he wasn't.

At number 2: Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carptenter)...

Cordelia Chase was bad-ass thanks to the work that Charisma Carpenter did with the character on both, 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' & 'Angel'!
Now she was an interesting one... What I mean by that is that besides David Boreanaz, Charisma Carpenter was the only character from Buffy to make the permanent transfer from BTVS to Angel at the very beginning... And when it was decided not to bring her back, it was kind of sad, because the truth is, is that by the end of the series, the only actors permanent member of the cast that had been there from the beginning was David Boreanaz (Who played, 'Angel')... And not only that, but Cordelia Chase ended up being the only main character from either series to have died! (In Buffy, Joyce Summers died, but that character always was just a recurring role, and not a main member of the cast.

At number 1: Allen Francis Doyle 'Doyle' (Glen Quinn)...

Doyle (Glenn Quinn), unfortunately a role that was awesome, but never quite made it through out the series...
The truth is, is that losing Doyle was inevitable... What I mean by this is that Glenn Quinn, who had been taken off the show about halfway in to the first season for his hard partying and heavy drinking, (and from what I had read at the time,) and how it was affecting David Boreanaz's performance, with him joining in with Mr. Quinn...

Well ultimately the brilliant B Movie/TV star passed away while the series was still on the air, so sadly, I hate to say it, but we would have lost him anyway... The reason I put him at number 1, is because he was a cool character, one that would have made a great addition to the evolving series if he had remained on the series!
