Disturbed/Skrillex... Great Signs Of The Next Generation Of Music

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="525"] Metallica... A great band that helped make music in the 1980s great![/caption]

I will say that one of my favorite generations of music would have to be the 1980s... Their was some great bands, with some great music that came out then, such bands as, 'Metallica', 'Stone Temple Pilots' & Red Hot Chili Peppers and the like!

Now don't get me wrong, the 90s also had some great music, but when we first saw the turn over from 90s to the new millennium, I found that what was great from the last 20 years, ended up turning over to music (albeit, I imagine some people like,) but turning over from Heavy Metal and Rock 'n Roll music, to boy bands... And now tweens... Well being a metal head I have to say that I was pretty annoyed!

Don't get me wrong, there was some good music to come out, but not enough... (At one point I would say, 'Linkin Park' was leading the pack... especially with the more classic bands having all bud vanished...)

Well I have some good news for you guys... News that I found to be particularly good considering...

I have managed to find some groups that helped to restore my faith in modern music... That was the band, 'Disturbed' and the musician, 'Skrillex'!

These guys are great! Let me begin with, Disturbed... I see a lot of the more classic heavy metal bands as inspiration for their music, including: Metallica, Marilyn Manson & even Nine Inc h Nails, but not only are their influences awesome, but they bring that type of bad ass headbanging music that made heavy metal great, but they also gave it a new feel for the new millennium that just truly makes all of their music so awesome!

But don't trust me, listen for yourself!

And as for Skrillex... Well first off, let me say that I have not really ever been a huge fan of techno... I mean the repetitive beats after awhile just kind of get extremely annoying... I found this to be true until I started listening to the musician, 'Skrillex'!

I found his brand of Techno to be different, but enjoyable... with elements that I think would work absolutely amazing in horror movies... What I mean by this, is that... Well have you ever seen a horror movie that is made in a desert setting? It is dirty, and it is almost more intense then the mainstream horror movie? Well I have found that Skrillex is kind of like that for me!

The reason that I mention this is because if you are like me... A true metal head, and definitely not some one who is a fan of what has become the more popular brand of music in the new millennium, then have faith, because there is hope! These are some good people to listen to... And there are more and more coming!
