You would think that being a huge Star Trek fan as well as being a huge fan of Video Games in general would be a great combo, as a matter of fact, you would think that Video Game manufacturers would be climbing over themselves to make a great Star Trek video game for us, 'trekkies' out there... I mean doesn't Gammer, plus, 'Trekkie' = 'Nerd'? (In this case the definition that I am talking about is some one who would spend a lot of time playing Video Games and watching Star Trek a fair amount...)

Well I admit it, I am kind of a nerd, I mean I would definitely consider myself to be both a trekkie (although let me be the first to say that I am not one of those types that wear the Star Fleet Uniforms as my only source of clothing, I also wanted to say that I think those that go so far as to dress up in the uniforms in their daily routines are some what odd!)

With that in mind though I am trekkie and a gamer, so it seems rather odd to me that I could not for the longest time find a passable Star Trek game!

Well that was till recently and that is with the game, Star Trek: Legacy (2006)!

Now this game which was released for both, PC, and X-Box 360 told the story through out the 3 prime eras in the shows history (Enterprise, Star Trek: The Original Series, and Star Trek: The Next Generation), during these times though it seems as though you can play as all of the major Captain's, (I,e: Jonathan Archer all the way through Captain janeway (If you wanted to)), but during these time lines you hunt a renegade Vulcan through out the decades, as she utilizes different enemies of the Federation of the different eras (leading up to the use of the Borg) in an effort to make a more ordered universe... And you must stop this renegade Vulcan at all cost!

Now as for the game play, I found that trying to figure out this game was a little bit confusing at first, but once I got used to it, I found this game to be an awful great time, with amazing graphics, that really almost made me feel like I was playing an interactive episode of Star Trek, or even playing an interactive movie version of Star Trek!

So if you are like me, and you are both a Trekkie fan and a gamer, but have no such luck what so ever in finding a really great Star Trek game to really sink your teeth in to, then give this one a try, I really enjoyed this one, and you might as well!
