Top 5 Supernatural Super Stars That Have Gone On To The Great Beyond.

With the recent death of a true master of horror, 'Richard Matheson' A true legend who had helped build up the modern Vampire lore with his legendary novel, 'I Am Legend', I got to thinking of all of the other truly great horror legends, that have made the supernatural horror movie such an amazing sub genre of film that have passed away!

And with that I thought that I would give my, 'Top 5 Supernatural Super Stars That Have Gone On To The Great Beyond' as a way to honor these deceased super stars:

And to begin, at number 5: Max Schreck (Noseferatu Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens).

Unfortunately in the United States Max Schreck is not known for to terribly much, except for one movie... And that movie maybe one of the most historically relevant film in the, 'Dracula' movie world... That movie is, Nosferatu eine Symphonie des Grauens (1922).

The reason why this German born actor is so well known for this movie, is that this movie is the unauthorized first run big screen adaption of, 'Dracula' (a movie in which Mr. Schreck played the production companies version of, 'The Count'.) This movie almost disappeared entirely when Bram Stoker's widow got the government in Germany to destroy all known copies of this movie....

The good news is, is that decades later a print of this movie was found and resurrected, and became a very well known cult classic!

At number 4: Boris Karloff (Frankenstein).

Now this guys has done more then his fair share of truly classic movies, including: Frankenstein (1931), Sacrface (1932) and that is to name a few... But in the case of supernatural movies that I really enjoyed was, The Crimson Cult (1968)!

At number 3: Vincent Price (Madhouse).

I will be honest and say that this guy has far to many truly legendary movies to mention here, rather he is working in horror, western or even a supernatural horror movie, this guy had a truly creepy look and scary voice, and just about all of the supernatural horror movies that I have seen of his, is truly amazing, and a scary good time!

For number 2: Peter Cushing (Asylum).

Back in the late 50s through the mid 70s there was a series of films that were created by British production company, 'Hammer Films', that remade or created movie series around classic supernatural monsters, such as: 'Dracula', and 'Frankenstein' etc... And the role that I am mentioning Peter Cushing for is his role as, 'Dr. Van Helsing' in the Dracula movie series that he did with Christopher Lee (Dracula A.D. 1972) for Hammer Films!

In the number 1 spot: Heather O'Rourke (Poltergeist).

You know, you might be wondering why I mention her in the number #1 spot... (Considering the other screen legends that I put in there,) well the truth is. is that Poltergeist is one of my favorite supernatural horror movies... And in all honesty her acting career, a lot like her life, had been cut down way to early, and I thought the role that she played in Poltergeist was truly amazing!
