Bob Dylan... What can I say, I mean unfortunately for me, I don't really know much about his music beyond the few songs that I have listened to, and the fact that Bob Dylan is pretty much one of the many people that could be said to be an iconic representation of everything that makes America such an amazing country!

But there is one song that he has done that, that I have only heard in parts from time to time, but have heard a lot of the parodies... the truth though is that because I had never heard it all the way through, I have to admit that up until recently I have to say that I really did not like this song all that much, Which is a shame, because you could say that this song is iconic of the type of music that Mr. Dylan did in the 1960s!

That song of course being: Mr. Tambourine Man from his album: Bring It Back Home (1965):

Bob Dylan doing, 'Mr. Tambourine Man' live at the Newport Folk Festival in 1964!
Since listening to it, I can completely understand why people really like this song, and why you could say that this song is a true american icon, besides the fact that I am going to say that this song is probably the best of Mr. Dylan's music, the reason being is that it has that quality to draw you in to the song. Lastly, both Mr.Dylan's version and the version that was released by, 'The Byrds are not only both highly respected, but, 'The Byrds' version of this song is considered the catalyst for what launched the, 'Folk Rock Music' genre!

So check it out, I think you might enjoy it if you like this type of music!
