Now as far as music goes, I have been pretty blessed with having grown up enjoying a large variety of music from a large variety of genres... What I mean by this, is that my mom generally tended to enjoy more of the synthpop and eventually heavy metal music! My Dad though... He generally tended to be more in to the softer side of music, (Sting and the like...) In the end, I have grown up and developed a taste for a wide variety music...

The reason that I mention this is when I first met a good friend of mine, he introduced me to a song that up to that point I had not heard before, but I have to say that I was so impressed by, that ultimately I ended up becoming inspired to do song reviews based on this song!

This song being: Send Me An Angel (1983) from Real Life's album: 'Heartland'!

The truth is, is the main reason why I like this song is because this song (which I am convinced is at least to some extent the inspiration from some of the 90s more gothic sounding heavy metal music,) was in itself, one of the first songs I had heard of this type in years, that for a guy like me, (some one who loves surrealism in art,) found this song to be like basically the musical equivalent of a surreal painting!

What I mean by this, is that where as it does have that element of the now mostly dated synthpop s0und, (if your like me, you will find that you do like it though...) Well besides all that, you can tell that this song had a darker impulse in it!

In the end, this song is a blast either way, check it out! I think you might like it!
