Five Classic Horror Movie Series That Were Made In To Books

We are all very well of the fact that as far as movies go, that there are a ton of great books that at one time or another, at least once has been turned in to a movie...  There are even some that have been turned in to movies a couple of different times (A great example of this is the book, 'Carrie', this Stephen King novel has been turned in to a movie a couple of different times...)

Well there is one sub set that I do kind of feel like has never really gotten much play in the world of horror, and that is the novelization of horror movie series as they were turned in to books, and so I thought that You guys would enjoy: Five Classic Horror Movie Series That Were Made In To Books

At number 5: Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

A good movie, hopefully a good book as well!
Ok, so this one is a little bit different, you see,  at present there is definitely a Buffy movie (which I know a lot people really did not like, but I thought this one to be worth mentioning... You see, this movie would be turned in to it's own TV series (although there has been talk of creating a remake of the movie...) So for this one I am going to say that it counts as it is, a series...

At number 4: A Nightmare On Elm Street.

A classic horror movie that was turned in to it's own book series!
This movie helped catapult the likes of, Wes Craven (Scream) and Robert Englund (Nightmare Cafe) in to super stardom, and with the large popularity that this series has seen over the years, this movie series has been given it's own book series as well!

For number 3: Halloween.

A great movie... I imagine, a great book...
About a year after John Carpenter (The Ward) released his now historic first film, Curtis Richards would release the novelization of the first film... This would be the first direct novelization of the series, because essentially the first five movies would also be given their own novels as well... There is also some young adult novels that were released... But these aren't really directly connected to the film.

At number 2: Friday The 13th.

A great movie... I've heard a great series of books as well!
Here is another example of a classic horror movie series that fans all over the world (myself included,) truly love, but did you know that with the insane popularity of the franchise, that this movie series would be turned in to it's own book series? That right folks, it has been! I haven't read any myself, but I have heard that they are quite fun, and well worth checking out!

At number 1:  Alien.

The novelization of truly awesome Horror/Sci-fi movie series!
Another great franchise, Alien brought to prominence a lot of amazingly talented artists, and I have to admit that it is pretty awesome to see that this franchise has developed it's own novel series!
