There is one video game series that I have noticed in the dozens that seems to have disappeared over the years, and which is a shame, that video game series being, 'Double Dragon'!

The truth is, is I haven't played all of the series but the first one I did play in both the arcade (which is what it was initially released in to back in 1987,) and on the NES way back in the day... And I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed!

I mean this game I would say is probably the game that introduced fighting games (in a none, 'competitive' fighting version), but in the way in which you mostly used your fighting style (most of the time weaponless) to make it from one level to the next...

I would even go so far as to say that this game was the inspiration for such games as, 'Streets Of Rage' and the like and could be said to be the ancestor of such games and the like!

Now this game, which was designed by: Yoshihisa Kishimoto, initiatially for the, 'Arcade' and which would later be re-released on such home consoles as: 'NES', 'PlayChoice- 10', 'Sega Master System', 'ZX Spectrum', 'Amstrad CPC', 'Commodore 64', 'IBM PC', 'Atari ST', 'Amiga', 'Atari 2600', 'Atari 7800', 'Game Boy', 'Mega Drive/Genesis', 'Lynx', 'Mobile', 'Zeebo', 'Apple OS', 'Game Boy Advance', 'iPhone', 'XBox' told the story of how two brothers (in the case of the system, 'player 1' and, 'player 2'), as they fought they're way in to a territory that is being held by a gang of Ninja's to rescue the woman that they both love!

In the end, this game is a blast... The problem is, is that this game is showing it's age, and well... It is worth playing... It is just no longer the epic good time that it once was... But the controls are not hard to master either... So give it a try, you might like it... I did and still do!
