Official Score = 2 1/2 Devils[/caption]If you liked the show, The Simpsons, then I think you might like this, conceived in the mid 90s by Simpsons creator, 'Matt Groening', and released in 1999, Futurama is an awesome TV series that tells the story of a delivery boy by the name of, 'Philip J. Fry' (Billy West) who ends up being cryogenically frozen and sent to the year 3000, where his entire world is flipped upside down living in the future, but finds some sense of normalcy, working for his descendant on his brother's side, and living and working with his best friend (who is a robot), as well as working with a Bureaucrat Rastafarian, an Asian Martian, a Mutant, a Decapodian, who all end up being his friend!
Well, Space Pilot 3000, tells the story of how all of this came to be, what I mean by that is the fact that this hilarious story tells the story of how while delivering a Pizza on New Years Eve on 1999 to a cryogenics lab that was a prank call, ends up being frozen and then forgotten about for 1,000 years... When he gets to the future, he is excited to find that he no longer has to deal with his ultimately crummy life that he had before he was frozen...

Fry as he realizes... 'He ain't in Kansas no more!'[/caption]But when Leela (Katey Sagal), tries to give him his career chip Fry escapes and gets involved with a suicidal bending robot by the name of Bender Bednding Rodriguez (John DI Maggio), and the two of them get in to some hilarious hijinks while they try to escape from Leela... But ultimately this episode is how the crew of the Planet Express comes together!
Now the truth is, is this episode is not as funny as the future episodes are, but it is still a very funny episode, and was put together real nicely, but the best part of this whole episode, is that it demonstrated what was to come, and it is something that you definitely would look forward to!
So if you are looking for a hilarious good time, and a fun series to get started in, then why not this out? you might find that you like it... I Know I did!
