You know I'll be honest and admit that I started of my music collection by starting off collecting soundtracks... You would not think that there is really anything wrong with that, but I will be honest with you and say that there is!
Don't get me wrong, I mean Music from soundtracks are legitimately great songs... But there is something
about having a collection of songs from various musicians that is not quite the same as holding a nice clean fresh album from which this album originated from...
Now the truth is, is there are a couple of truly awesome things about holding on to a soundtrack... First off, in my opinion listening to a soundtrack is a little bit more about remembering the movie that the person obviously really enjoyed (I mean especially if they are going out to buy the album!) Also another thing I have come to discover in my search for great music is the fact that some times... Just sometimes, a song maybe on a soundtrack but for whatever reason never quite made it on to an album... And a great example of this is, Anthrax's, 'Bordello Of Blood' from the Bordello Of Blood soundtrack!

Now I am gonna admit that about half way in to this song it changes drastically from being a truly awesome song (maybe one of the best that I have ever heard from a soundtrack,) to being just, 'good'...
But the beginning of this song is truly amazing! I mean it harkens back to the great darker metal bands of the 80s, and the sound that they came up with for this song I suspect may truly be and inspiration for some of the crappier death-core metal bands that have come out in the last 5 or 10 years... (I know that may sound really bad... But it ain't...) The other thing that I thought that I would mention here about it is I do suspect that the tunes they created for, Bordello Of Blood, may have in some way, instrumentally, lyrically. how ever you wish to go about it, at least to some extent have influenced, 'Disturbed'!
In the end, this song as it turns out was actually so good that it was not only used on the, Tales From The Crypt Presents: Bordello Of Blood (1996) sondtrack but was also in and of itself turned in to a single!
